Content National Conferences to discuss EUROPLAN supporting tool
Content Meeting in Cracow with European Member States National Authorities “Approve the Recommendations to be further discussed within National Conferences”

The meeting is planned to be held in Krakow on the 13th of May 2010 the day before the start of the 7th European Conference on Rare Diseases. Besides associated partners, Members State National Authorities are asked to approve the documents to be further discussed in the forthcoming National Conferences organised by EURORDIS.
Content WP6 Meeting on “Discuss collected data and approve the documents to be submitted to the evaluation of EU MSs National Authorities”

The meeting is planned to be held in Rome on 18 and 19 January 2010 among associated partners and members of the EUROPLAN Advisory Boards to discuss on comments received by collaborating partners, members of the RDTF, experts invited at the Amsterdam Meeting (September 2009) and to approve advanced versions of the documents to be submitted to European Member States National Authorities.
Content Meeting “Define the contents of the EUROPLAN recommendations”

The meeting was held in Amsterdam on 18-19 September 2009 to discuss an advanced draft versions of the Recommendations for the development of National Plans or Strategies for rare diseases, of the Indicators document and to evaluate the achievements of rare diseases initiatives.
Together with associate partners, external experts were invited to give contributions on the Recommendations and on the Indicators documents.
Content WP05 - Workshop on “Selecting indicators for monitoring the implementation and for evaluating the impact of the National Plans and Strategies for rare diseases

The workshop was held in Madrid on 18 and 19 June 2009 to present a draft of the recommendations and to select indicators to monitor the implementation and to evaluate the impact of National Plans and Strategies for rare diseases.
Content WP05 – Meeting on “how to identify indicators”

The meeting among associated partners was held in Rome on 25-26 February 2009 to plan in detail the short term activities for core Work Packages and in particular to organize the work under WP5 for the definition of indicators.

Content Kick-off meeting

The kick-off meeting was held in Rome on July 7th, 2008. Each work package leader was asked to present his/her work package in order to identify shared solutions for highlighted potential risks.


The objectives of the meeting were clarified as follow:

  • review and reach a common understanding of the project activities;
  • discuss challenges and potential risks;
  • identify the way forward for addressing the identified risks;
  • present the project management tools;
  • agree on internal communication and partners coordination.
