Final Conference

Final conference: Rome, Istituto Superiore di Sanità – 25/02/2011

The FINAL CONFERENCE, which will be held at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (Rome-Italy, February 25, 2011) is aimed at presenting the main results obtained in the framework of EUROPLAN and at discussing further steps in the sector of the strategic national planning on rare diseases.

During the Conference, EUROPLAN coordinator, partners and invited speakers will illustrate:
  • EUROPLAN Recommendations: which are focused on seven intervention areas, reflecting the EU Council Recommendations.

  • EUROPLAN Indicators: selected to monitor the implementation of national plans and strategies.

  • Round Table 1 - “The national Conferences: main results and suggestions”: speakers will discuss inputs coming from the National Conferences, organized by EURORDIS and the National Alliances in 15 European Member States (Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Poland). The main aim of National Conferences was to assess the transferability of the EUROPLAN Recommendations in 15 Countries with different health, social and economical contests.

  • Round Table 2 - “Update on Eastern European Countries”: speakers coming from Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Russia and Turkey will present the update situation in these Countries.

  • Other topics will be: “Research on rare diseases”; “Orphan drugs: accessibility and sustanaibility”; EUCERD activities.
